Course Overview

This course is designed for learners who want to build practical skills in yoga, naturopathy, wellness lifestyle guidance, stress management, basic health awareness, and self-employment-oriented wellness services. The course focuses on safe practice, class demonstration, client communication, daily wellness routines, natural living principles, and community-level health awareness.

This course does not qualify learners to diagnose, prescribe, or treat medical conditions. Learners must guide clients only within wellness, fitness, lifestyle, and preventive health boundaries.


Key Learning Outcomes

After completion, learners will be able to:

  • Explain the meaning, history, philosophy, and lifestyle relevance of yoga and naturopathy.
  • Demonstrate basic and intermediate yoga postures with safety instructions.
  • Conduct beginner-level yoga, pranayama, meditation, and relaxation sessions.
  • Understand basic human body systems and connect them with wellness practices.
  • Explain diet, hygiene, natural living, fasting basics, hydrotherapy, mud therapy, and lifestyle correction.
  • Design simple yoga routines for general wellness, obesity support, stress reduction, flexibility, and daily fitness.
  • Communicate confidently with learners, clients, groups, senior citizens, women, and children.
  • Start self-employment through yoga classes, home wellness sessions, online sessions, group workshops, and community wellness camps.

Module 1: Foundations of Yoga & Naturopathy

  • Meaning, importance, scope, and modern relevance of yoga
  • History, philosophy, and major streams of yoga
  • Principles of naturopathy and natural healing lifestyle
  • Yogic discipline, personal hygiene, daily routine, and self-control
  • Introduction to wellness, preventive health, and holistic living


Module 2: Human Body, Health & Yogic Lifestyle

  • Basic structure and functions of the human body
  • Respiratory, digestive, nervous, muscular, and skeletal systems
  • Connection between posture, breathing, stress, sleep, and lifestyle
  • Common lifestyle disorders and preventive wellness awareness
  • Safe practice guidelines, contraindications, and learner care


Module 3: Yoga Practices & Class Demonstration

  • Standing, sitting, supine, and prone asanas
  • Surya Namaskar, warm-up movements, and flexibility practices
  • Basic correction, posture alignment, and safety instructions
  • Class sequencing for beginners and general fitness groups
  • Demonstration skills, voice command, timing, and learner engagement


Module 4: Pranayama, Meditation & Stress Management

  • Breathing awareness and basic pranayama practices
  • Relaxation techniques for stress, anxiety, fatigue, and sleep support
  • Introduction to mudra, bandha, concentration, and mindfulness
  • Meditation practices for emotional balance and mental clarity
  • Session formats for students, professionals, homemakers, and elderly learners


Module 5: Naturopathy & Natural Wellness Methods

  • Hydrotherapy, mud therapy, sun bath, air bath, and massage basics
  • Diet therapy, balanced diet, fasting awareness, and natural food habits
  • Drugless wellness principles and lifestyle correction methods
  • Personal care, detox lifestyle, water intake, rest, and routine planning
  • Client safety, hygiene, referral awareness, and ethical limits


Module 6: Yoga for Special Groups & Lifestyle Needs

  • Yoga routines for children, youth, working professionals, and senior citizens
  • Yoga for women’s wellness, flexibility, posture, and daily energy
  • Yoga support practices for obesity, diabetes awareness, and hypertension awareness
  • Workplace wellness, chair yoga, eye relaxation, and stress relief breaks
  • Community wellness session planning and awareness activity design


Module 7: Wellness Entrepreneurship & Professional Skills

  • How to start yoga classes from home, rented space, institute, or online platform
  • Client handling, consultation form, batch planning, and fee structuring
  • Communication skills, confidence building, grooming, and professional behavior
  • Social media promotion, WhatsApp marketing, local networking, and referral building
  • Safety disclaimer, attendance records, feedback collection, and service improvement


Assessment Pattern

Assessment will focus mainly on practical ability, oral understanding, discipline, and real demonstration.

  • Practical Demonstration: asanas, pranayama, meditation, relaxation, and session delivery
  • Oral Assessment: yoga concepts, naturopathy principles, safety points, and lifestyle guidance
  • Class Presentation: 15–20 minute guided yoga/wellness session
  • Case-Based Viva: wellness routine planning for common lifestyle needs
  • Daily Practice Record: attendance, practice consistency, and discipline
  • Community Awareness Activity: group talk, wellness awareness session, or demonstration
  • Final Evaluation: combined practical, oral, confidence, communication, and conduct review
