COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is designed to train learners in teddy bear making, soft toy designing, finishing, packaging, and small business handling. It focuses on practical handmade product skills so learners can start home-based work, take customized gift orders, sell through local markets, exhibitions, WhatsApp, Instagram, and small gift stores.

AICPE will provide course completion recognition. No mark statement will be issued.

COURSE MODULES

MODULE 1: Introduction & Material Knowledge

• Introduction to teddy bear and soft toy making.

• Types of teddy bears and soft toys used for gifting.

• Knowledge of fur, fleece, velvet, felt, cotton, and plush fabric.

• Use of tools like scissors, needles, measuring tape, sewing machine, glue gun, and marking chalk.

• Safety, cleanliness, and proper material handling.

MODULE 2: Pattern, Cutting & Stitching Basics

• Basic teddy bear pattern making.

• Body-part marking for head, body, hands, legs, and ears.

• Fabric cutting techniques with proper margin.

• Hand stitching methods used in soft toys.

• Basic machine stitching for strong and neat joining.

MODULE 3: Filling, Shaping & Finishing

• Turning stitched parts carefully.

• Proper filling of teddy bear body parts.

• Shaping the teddy bear for balance and softness.

• Closing stitches and thread finishing.

• Quality checking for strength, neatness, and final look.

MODULE 4: Face Designing & Decoration

• Teddy bear face designing with eyes, nose, mouth, and ears.

• Creating cute, premium, baby-style, and gift-style looks.

• Making bows, ribbons, tags, caps, scarves, and small accessories.

• Color combination for fabric and decoration.

• Designing mini, designer, and customized teddy bears.
